Can I use a Tesla Supercharger with the Mach-E?
As of February 29, 2024, Ford vehicles are now able to charge at thousands of V2 and V3 Tesla Superchargers. The Mach-E must be on the latest software to use Superchargers, and you can request a Tesla-to-CCS adapter from Ford on this page.
Does the Mach-E come with a charger?
Ford includes a mobile charger with every Mach-E. This mobile connector is able to charger both over 120-volt household power, as well as Level 2 (240 volts) from a NEMA 14-50 plug. You could get away with only using the mobile charger, but for drivers covering many miles, we recommend leaving the mobile charger in the car for emergencies and installing a dedicated home charging station.
Where is the charging port location on the Mustang Mach-E?
The charging port is located on the front driver-side (left) fender of the Mach-E, just in front of the driver’s door. This is kind of an unusual location for a charging port, keep this in mind when installing an EV charging station.
Should I leave my Mach-E plugged in all the time?
Yes, it’s a good idea to leave the Mach-E plugged in when it is not in use. The car will maintain the high voltage battery, this is especially important when the ambient temperatures drop below freezing. But Ford strongly recommends setting a charge limit to 80 or 90% for daily use, so the battery is not sitting at 100% charge for too long.
Which wheel and tire combination is the most efficient on the Mach-E?
Mach-E comes on either 18-inch wheels and 225/60R18 tires, or 19-inch wheels with 225/55R19 tires. Section 225 tires are unusually skinny for a vehicle of this size, but these narrower tires help with aerodynamic efficiency and lower rolling resistance. The Mustang Mach-E GT comes with 20-inch wheels and wider 245/45R20 tires for higher performance. If you want maximum range, stick with the smallest diameter wheels that are offered.
Does Ford plan to support the NACS (Tesla) connector?
Yes, Ford announced that their new EVs built in 2025 and after will feature the NACS/Tesla connector in North America. Allowing their vehicles to use Tesla Supercharger locations without an adapter.
How much does it cost to charge Mach-E?
